Techné makes affordable timepieces for the adventurous wearer. They are named after the Ancient Greek word for “craftsmanship”. The watch design has been like vintage military watch with functionalism since 2009. Techné watches are designed in Switzerland by VANTGARD, a family-owned company based in Grandson, in the Watch Valley that stretches across Geneva, the Jura mountains and Basel. The watches are assembled from Japanese or Swiss parts in Asia to maintain competitive retail prices. Francis Jacquerye joined as a designer of Longines in 2007 and was senior designer from 2011 to 2013. TECHNE has the idea of going back to the fundamental virtue and features legibility and strongly protection. Using surgical stainless that it’s hard to cause an allergy and it’s easily to look at the watch for the luminous paint on the dial, index and hands.
